Longest deal handed out in the Manchester City club’s recent history

Vincent Jean Mpoy Kompany was born on 10 April 1986, is a Belgian Footballer and captain of Manchester City team and the Belgium National Team. He is expert in playing at both center back and defensive midfield. In the season 2011-2012, he was selected as a captain of Manchester City, and the same Season due to his utmost efforts and marvelous supervision his club won League title, that was the greatest achievement of  Manchester city to have their first League title in 44 years.




Kompany started his professional career at Anderlecht, spent around three years at the Belgian club before moving to German club Hamburger SV in 2006.Finally in 2008 joined ManchesterCity at the age of 22 from Hamburg. Since then established himself as a Fundamental part of Manchester City squad. Kompany was also included in the Premier League Team of the Year for the consecutive 2 years i-e 2011 and 2012, also achieved award of Premier League Player of the Season in 2012. 


Kompany has recently signed a contract of six – year contract of worth about 130,000 - Pounds with Manchester City, which is consider being the longest deal handed out in the club’s recent history.
